A perfect crisp day around the bay. This is beautiful Brigus, Newfoundland in the quiet season between its famous Blueberry Festival and active summers. I took the reference photo for this piece a couple of years before I painted it in January 2016 so when I finished the painting and posted it on Facebook, someone told me that both the boats and the fishing shed are gone now. Glad I painted them when I did. The title of this painting was suggested by Shell Williams from "Name that Painting" on my Facebook page. She played off our traditional Newfoundland dessert - Blueberry Crisp.
Blueberry Crisp - the 11x20” acrylic inks on paper painting, unframed.
