A commissioned acrylic inks on paper painting from 2010. Once I finished the painting, the trees looked like they were peacefully grooving in their own secluded space at the base of the BC mountain. To create this piece, I got into the character of a Japanese calligrapher to create the very subtle misty mountain behind the more defined trees in the foreground. I felt ‘less was more’.
