Ann of Yellow Gables - Original Painting

The 5.5x9.5” acrylic inks on paper original painting I created in September 2024. This beauty on the corner of Prescott and Gower Street downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland, had been on my painting hit list for over 15 years. I was waiting for the right angle and light to grab me….and I found it! After posting my painting and hearing many stories about the history of this home and its beloved longtime owner, Ann O’Brien, the title “Ann of Yellow Gables” came to me. This painting is in honour of Ann and the architectural delights of this pivotal rowhouse and its neighbours.
