Red Rider - Art Prints

This was one of the top 5 winning acrylic inks on paper paintings from my 2014 Facebook content "What Does HOME Mean to You?"
I asked my Facebook peeps to submit photos that represented home to them. Once the 1200+ photos were entered, everyone voted to determine the top 5 images...which I then painted live online. Each winner received a large canvas print of the painting of their photo.
Shirlene Edwards, the photographer who submitted this beauty and whose daughter is in the painting, said, "This reminds some people of time gone by, winter at home, peace and tranquility. This photo reminds me of the meaning of, kindness and caring. A house built of wood and beams; a home is built with love and dreams."
This is one of the few times I have painted animals. The little dog in the front cracked me up...he's givin' 'er!
