"My Mom, Maria Alward (Lewis), grew up in Dock Cove on St. Brendan's Island along with her 8 sisters and 1 brother. Even though I grew up in St. John's I consider St. Brendan's my 'home' because my heart is there when I think of my Nan and Pop (Mae and Lou) and my visits with them.
